As part of the Caring for our Community drive, Taeuber & Corssen has been assisting a number of charities with various goods in the last few weeks.
Last week T&C donated two pallets worth N$90,000 of Matangara Beef Tripe food packets to two Swakopmund based charity organisations, the Swakopmund SPCA and Feed-a-Paw. The Feed-a-Paw project aims to provide food and water for pets that often roam the streets of Henties Bay and Swakopumnd’s DRC area.
“Many of the houses don’t have fences so the dogs take to the streets looking for scraps to eat. We are grateful for this donation as this goes a long way in keeping the animals fed with high protein food,” said Madeleine Strydom of Feed-a-Paw.
The week before T&C also donated some 300kg of washing powder to the Walvis Bay SPCA and the Promiseland project to address their garment and blanket washing needs.
Much needed groceries to the value of more than N$10,000 was donated to the Round Table, the Cancer Association (CHICA House & House Acacia), the Ministry of Joy charity, and the Dagbreek school.
“We really care about our communities. People buy these products everyday, but there are many who are not able to afford the basics. In this small way T&C also wants to make a difference,” said Bianca Karsten, Marketing Manager for T&C. The donation included items such as cleaning products and detergents, tea, coffee and syrup.
